Early Post WW2 British Sports Patch Cairo Canal Egypt

a very interesting item . sew on hand made approx 4.5" by 4.5" which was i assume for military and uk government staff in the early post war area. nb i would assume this was for the Alexandria Canal zone known as the Mahmoudiyah Canal rather than just someone called Alex so sold as seen. .
